Complete Registration
Step 1: Complete a Lottery Application
SJCA accepts applications via SchoolMint throughout the year. Florida law requires a random lottery when there are more student applicants than seats available in a particular grade. Please complete your lottery application here. The lottery for the next school year will be completed no later than January 31st of the current school year.
PLEASE NOTE:
You will be notified of lottery results via the email and phone number provided.
Step 2: Receive an Offer to Register or Waitlist Status
The number of student seats available in each grade will determine how many are sent offers to register. If your student is selected for a seat, you will receive an offer to register. If your student is placed on a waitlist due to more applicants than seats available, you will be notified of the waitlist status.
Step 3: Accept Offer to Register
When you receive the offer to register, you will have three days to accept the offer to let us know you plan to complete the registration process. To accept the offer, follow the instructions in the email or text received from SchoolMint.
Step 4: Complete Registration
The registration process is done through the county on ParentVUE and will open around May 1st. Once the county opens registration you will be notified and will need to log-in or create a new account. Registration must be completed once the window opens. No student will be permitted to start SJCA until registration has been completed.

SJCA Enrollment
We hope that you will explore our website and learn more about SJCA’s extraordinary program. SJCA is a tuition-free charter school chartered by Clay County School Board.
What SJCA is:
St. Johns Classical Academy is a Classical Education school with a specific and well-defined purpose.
SJCA is right for your child if:
You feel too much time in your child’s current school is dedicated to technology, testing, fun and games, non-academic instruction, or socialization.
You are looking for academic rigor, high-level reading material, instruction in virtue, studiousness, and traditional teaching methods.
You want your child to be well-prepared for an intense college experience.
You agree with and support SJCA’s vision of the Parent-School Partnership found in our Parent/Scholar handbook.
You understand that a child’s behavior is primarily the responsibility of his or her parents.
What SJCA is not:
St. Johns Classical Academy is not a reform school. If your child is having discipline issues at their current school, they will likely have discipline issues at SJCA.
St. Johns Classical Academy is not an academic recovery school. If your child is having academic issues at their current school due to poor study habits or refusal to complete homework, they will likely have the same issues at St. Johns Classical Academy.
St. Johns Classical Academy is not a typical public school. There is no BYOD policy here, and smart phones and other internet devices are not allowed on campus. Uniforms are mandatory. Discipline is rigorously enforced, sometimes requiring parental assistance.
